Memory Care
At our nearby Advena Villages of Clearwater community, our highly recognized Memory Care staff provides care for each community member based on their abilities, not their disabilities.
Our community is equipped with security, technology and support services customized to assist with memory care, including:
- 24-hour nursing care
- Individual and group activities designed to maximize social interaction
- Life-nurturing activities
- Teepa Snow Memory Care Rehabilitation Program (positive approach to dementia care and education)
Our staff members follow the recommendations of the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. Caretakers can rest assured that their loved one is being cared for by excellent healthcare professionals and specialists, including:
- Physicians
- Registered nurses
- Certified dementia practitioners
- Certified nursing assistants
- Social Services Director
- Activities Director
- Quality of Life Program Manager
- Other medical specialists as needed
We care for our community members in private studios and 1-bedroom memory support apartments with a kitchenette and private bath/shower. We also offer a lovely courtyard that is safe for memory care patients.
Life Nurturing and Enhancement
Nurturing stations enable our community members to maintain their important life activities and provide structure throughout their day. Gardening, working with tools, making the bed and setting the table are all examples of life skills programming.
Family Involvement
Families are encouraged to visit often and to discuss their loved one’s specific preferences and needs with our staff. We are here to provide you and your loved one with educational and emotional resources. We also invite you to participate in our Memory Care Support Group.
